Stepping Stones to Success
The Stackable Credentials element is paving the way for graduates of eligible occupational skills training programs to earn advanced certifications, unlocking greater career opportunities and higher wages.
Originally launched as the Alumni Track, this initiative began in early 2024 with a pilot for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Grads2Careers alumni. Successful graduates earned their Patient Care Tech certification.
Now evolving into Stackable Credentials, this element will expand beyond Grads2Careers alumni to serve even more learners. With insights from our pilot, we’re preparing to grow opportunities—starting with healthcare and, ultimately, into other high-demand fields. Stay tuned for what’s next!
Pilot Program
Practice makes perfect. In early 2024, we launched a pilot with 15 CNA/GNA Grads2Careers alumni, laying the groundwork for a more robust program to come!
Provider Spotlight
University of Maryland Medical Center
University of Maryland Medical Center hosted the first 15 students in a pilot serving Grads2Careers alumni. Students received intensive training to earn their Patient Care Tech certification, which expanded on skills learned in their CNA/GNA training, coupled with case management and wraparound support. With this further course of study, graduates are now certified to perform more direct patient care in hospitals and other healthcare settings.
