CareerBound recently brought together nearly 100 representatives from 40 local employers interested in partnering to create paths to economic mobility for young people in Baltimore City.

Leaders from the private and nonprofit sector discussed ways employers can support young people, including by offering apprenticeships, mentoring, careers days, and internships. The impact of employer engagement work was detailed by a recent graduate of Baltimore City Public Schools who described how an apprenticeship at Sinai Hospital launched her into a nursing career track.
The exciting event highlighted the employers’ strong commitment to work with CareerBound to ensure all of Baltimore’s young people get the training and support they need to find work in growing job sectors and start family-supporting careers right here in Baltimore.
